The Problem
Tracking prices across online stores by hand meant opening product pages repeatedly, recording or remembering previous prices, and still missing price drops and limited-time deals — around 30–60 minutes a day, with no historical view of price trends.
Buying and pricing decisions ended up based on incomplete information. People want to buy — and price — at the right time, but nobody wants to sit and monitor competitors all day.
How It Works
A scheduled workflow visits the tracked product pages automatically and extracts each product name and current price, skipping incomplete or erroneous entries. Every run appends a row to Google Sheets, building a complete price history over time.
AI then evaluates current prices against that history — identifying which product offers the best value today and which moves are significant enough to act on. Notifications go to Slack or email only when a price drops meaningfully or a better deal appears; if nothing meaningful changes, it stays silent, so alerts never become noise.
Impact
- Never miss a price move — meaningful drops and better deals surface automatically, in real time
- ~20–25 hours saved per month — routine monitoring runs with near-zero human effort
- Margin protected on data, not guesswork — AI flags the optimal move before a competitor's change costs you sales
- Full price history, always on — every monitored product is logged over time for smarter buying and pricing decisions
